Landscaping and Beautification

We design and execute landscaping for government buildings, offices and public campuses. Functional, low-maintenance, water-wise and dignified.

Built for public buildings

We design and execute landscaping exclusively for government buildings, offices and public campuses. The grounds of a public building should be easy to maintain, safe to use, suited to the climate, and within the budget that will actually be available for upkeep.

Our services

  • Site survey and measurement

Measured survey of the site, including levels, existing trees, services and access.

  • Concept design with plans and 3D views

Design proposal with layout plans and 3D views for review before approval.

  • Softscape

Native and drought-tolerant plants, lawns and shade trees, chosen for the site and its upkeep.

  • Hardscape

Pathways, plazas and seating, built to suit the use and the load they carry.

  • Entrance and frontage beautification

Planting, paving and signage treatment for entrances and building frontages.

  • Vertical and terrace gardens

Planted walls and terrace gardens designed with their structural and irrigation needs in mind.

  • Landscape lighting

Lighting for paths, entrances and planting, selected to reduce glare and energy use.

  • Water-efficient irrigation

Drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, with rainwater-harvesting integrated where the site allows.

  • Annual maintenance

Scheduled maintenance of planting, irrigation and hardscape under an annual agreement.

How a project runs

  1. Step 1: Site visit

We visit the site and discuss the requirement with the department.

  2. Step 2: Requirement study

We record the use, budget, maintenance capacity and any constraints.

  3. Step 3: Concept and estimate

A concept design with plans, 3D views and a cost estimate.

  4. Step 4: Approval

The client reviews and approves the concept and estimate.

  5. Step 5: Execution

Construction and planting, carried out against the approved design.

  6. Step 6: Handover

Handover with as-built information and a maintenance brief.

  7. Step 7: Maintenance

Annual maintenance, if the client chooses it.

A proposal from us for a public building includes:

  • Design presentation

Concept plans and 3D views for review by the department.

  • Cost estimate

An itemised estimate prepared against the approved concept.

A project timeline covering execution and handover.
